Reset a forgotten Microsoft account password

I would like to change the password on my account. Email address is removed for privacy, but the security mail that I need acess to is not active anymore.

To change your password, log in to your Hotmail or Outlook.com email account, click your profile picture, and select View account. Next, click Change password.

Enter your work or school account (eg [email protected]). If you want to reset a Microsoft Account password, go to https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx.

If you know your password, but just want to change it, go to account.microsoft.com Security tab, and select Change my password.

Your Outlook.com password is the same as your Microsoft account password. Go to Microsoft account security and select Password security.

Go to account.microsoft.com and if you're not already signed in, sign in with the username and current password for the account you want to update.
